We had so much fun at our family reunion/Dori's birthday party that we though it would be fun to have a place to communicate and stay connected. You can post pictures, share stories and yes, even recipes! If you would like to post something post a response on this site and Meg will send you info on how to post your own goodies. We hope that even those of you who couldn't come to Washingon will join in so we can be connected with you also...a living "family tree" if you will. Please share the blog address with your kids and grandkids.

Awesome website, Meg! Thanks for setting it up. Did we change the family name because it got too confusing with Walgreen's? It was great seeing everyone and meeting spouses and kids. I had a blast!

Just thought I share my "going home" experience with you.
My trip home was an Adventurous nightmare. Everything went along fine till I was ready to leave SanDiego. We were all boarded and then it was announced that the plane was having mechanical difficulties; it would be just a "few" minutes. Well, an hour later they found that they needed a part that was not available and we were deplaned for a different airplane. OK! We trudge over to gate 25 from gate 27. Now we have the agents scurring to make arrangement for those who were going to miss connecting flights and such. I was a "such". I knew I would miss the last bus at 10:00 to get to the Crystal Lake Holiday Inn where my car was parked. So....the gal said "no problem" and typed in an explanation to provide me with transportation when I get to Chicago. OK! Now I'm in Chicago at 10:00, of course I missed the bus. A cute little gal of 17 picked me up in a wheel chair and scooted me around to pick up my luggage very quickly. .............then we ran into all kinds of Yahoos that kept telling me, "sorry lady, you missed your bus, thats your problem". This little gal was running me all over the place and we finally found a very nice young man that finally looked in the computer to see the whole story in front of him and he called a supervisor who then got me a voucher for a cab. Whew!! Now I go out and get an attendant to hail me a Yellow cab. The Cabbie was, I think, a Jamaican who wasn't sure where Crystal Lake was!!!!!!!!! OK! He checks his little black book of directions and figures out that he has to go out on I90. Well, all of a sudden I discover, we are NOT on I90, we are on I94 heading North EAST towards Wheeling. EEEEEEEEK! Although I am not Geographicly inclined, I managed to direct him around some familiar roads to finally get us to Crystal Lake. By the time we got there, the meter had registered $80.00! I said " I am sure glad that I didn' t have to pay for that out of MY pocket". So now he leaves and I start looking for my car............which I could not see anywhere and by now it is Midnight. I had called Nancy from San Diego to let her know what had happened. Now, I had to call her again and ask her where the @#$% car is???????? She informed me that she thought I was getting a ride HOME so she didn't bring the car over there. We had a bit of a miscommunication there. So Bob got dressed and came over and picked me up. I was REALLY glad to get home................heeheehee!!!!!!!!! I can laugh about it now!!!!!!!!!!
